Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reveals which three players he wants more from at Anfield
JURGEN KLOPP has urged the likes
of Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino to increase
their output and start conjuring more goals and assists for Liverpool.

While
much of the focus has fallen on Christian Benteke’s start to life at
Anfield, Liverpool manager Klopp has warned the striker cannot be
expected to shoulder all of the scoring burden.
Since
Klopp took over at the start of October Coutinho has scored four goals,
Firmino just once and Lallana has yet to open his account.
The
lack of goals is underlined by the fact that Steven Gerrard – who left
in May – remains Liverpool’s second highest goalscorer in the league in
2015 with six strikes. Coutinho is top with eight and Benteke joint
third on five goals with Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson.
Klopp
wants his side to build on the weekend victory over Leicester City,
which came courtesy of Benteke’s second half effort, and impressed the
importance on goals being spread throughout his side.
Liverpool
will be without Sturridge and Divock Origi at Sunderland on Wednesday,
along with James Milner, and Klopp said: “If you don’t have enough
goals, you always have to talk and think about how you can bring the
others in position to score goals.
“We
have such quality that we have to use this. We have our moments when we
are shooting and we have a little bit of bad luck. For example, Adam
has had some situations where he could have had goals, but we are
working on this.
“It
is always about more in these situations. You cannot wait for just one
chance and then you will make it. It is not like this. We have to always
be in position. We try to improve. We know about this. It is the truth.
“To be more dangerous from all positions is a big target for us.”
Firmino
has struggled to find his range and rhythm since his £29m move from
Hoffenheim this season, while Lallana has scored twice in the Europa
League.
