A number of Hong Kong politicians have expressed their condemnation after the riot in Mong Kok last week, saying the breach of law and order is intolerable. Cheung Chi-kong, a member of Hong Kong's Executive Council, said hawking was not controversial, but had been used as an excuse for staging violence.
