Revealed: How Jurgen Klopp convinced Marko Grujic to sign for Liverpool over Chelsea

MARKO GRUJIC has revealed how big an influence Jurgen Klopp was in bringing him to Anfield.

 

The 19-year-old completed his move to Anfield today, signing until 2020 after the clubs agreed a £5.1million deal.

He is heading straight back to Red Star Belgrade for the rest of the season on loan.

He was also wanted by Chelsea, Inter Milan and Manchester United.

 

But he admits Klopp convinced him to join the Reds.

"He called me one month [ago] on my phone and spoke to me very well," Grujic said. 

"I was thinking about my progress in my next period and decided it was good for me to come here and try to be the best I can.
