India's dubious record of selfie deaths continues with another victim in Jodhpur



Amidst reports of India having the highest number of selfie deaths in 2015, a 23-year-old Indian tourist became the sixth victim of selfies in the country this year, after falling from the well-known Mehrangarh Fort in the city of Jodhpur.
The victim, a young man named Nikhil Prajapat, was visiting the fort with his friends, and fell after losing balance while trying to take a selfie from the ramparts of the fort. By the time his friends could reach him, he had died.
Two days ago, two young men drowned in the Narmada River after attempting a selfie in on its bank during a picnic. When one of them slipped and fell into the river, his cousin jumped into the water to rescue him but was swept away by the current. Read more...
