Do You Kiss With Your Morning Breath?
Something I have noticed on television is how couples wake up in the
morning and start kissing. I’m not talking about just a little peck on
the lips, but like full blown kissing, tongue and all. I know that on
television, they don’t actually have bad breath cause they’re just
acting. But it makes me wonder, are there people who wake up and swap
spit with their spouse? Yuck. I wish you could see my face as I type
this post.
As you may have guessed already, I do not kiss in the morning! I
believe in morning breath, and I know that it can make people faint,
maybe even die. I have personally never seen it happen, but I believe
that it can happen. In fact, it has probably happened.
I have a big thing with smell. If it smells bad, I don’t want it. I don’t care what it does, I don’t want it. Same thing applies to morning breath. When I wake up in the morning, I may not take a shower immediately – in fact, most times I don’t – but I have to go brush my teeth. I just have to! I don’t do it because of Igwe or because of anyone who’s home, I just have to brush my teeth. Even when I’m home alone, I have to brush my teeth. I may not take a shower till night, but give me my toothbrush and my toothpaste, I need a clean mouth.
Back to the television kissing, the morning kiss bothers me so much that whenever I see it, I just cannot concentrate or anything other than how nasty the kiss must taste. Again, yes, I know that they’re acting, so they don’t actually have morning breath – hopefully – but it’s the visual that bothers me. Speaking of television, that’s another thing I think about: what if you have to kiss someone who has a funky breath? Do you stop the kiss or go on and take it as collateral damage? Or maybe throw up in the person’s mouth?
Are there real people [not actors] who kiss in the morning before brushing their teeth? Don’t you taste and smell the person’s morning breath? Aren’t you conscious of your own morning breath? Or do I just have issues?
