Man who abused RUTO in court – Here is the reason why he abuse both UHURU and RUTO

Wednesday December 24, 2014 - A middle aged man was on Tuesday charged in a Nairobi court for sending offensive messages to Deputy President William Ruto.

According to the Prosecution, Mr Dedan Alpha Marenya was also charged with improperly using a licensed telecommunication system.

The court was told that the 23- year old man sent abusive text messages on December 15 using his Safaricom line. Mr Marenya is believed to have sent up to 30 messages to the DP.

Ruto’s lawyer, Dancun Ondimu, said the Prosecution had already received a report from Safaricom confirming that the messages were sent by the accused.

Police said Mr Marenya also sent similar messages to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Prosecution documents showed Marenya allegedly sent the offensive messages after his calls to the two leaders went unanswered.

He was remanded until January 15 when the court will hear the case.
